Yumi Nu quotes Nicki Minaj Verse in response to Jordan Peterson’s insult

Model Yumi Nu responded to Jordan Peterson’s insult via a social media video using a verse from a Nicki Minaj song.

Jordan Peterson, a psychologist and author, took to Twitter to voice his thoughts on Nu’s cover of the new swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated.

“Sorry. Not pretty. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance will change that.” he tweeted May 16.

Since then, Peterson has received backlash for his comments from others on the internet. Peterson has since left Twitter as his staff made the tweet.

In response, Nu took to TikTok to share her thoughts on the insult. The model used a verse from Nicki Minaj’s song, “Itty Bitty Piggy.” The viral video has over 300,000 and 50,000 likes and is titled “anyway…”.

I mean, I don’t even know why you bother at this point, like, give up…it’s me, I win, you lose,” Minaj raps in her song from a mixtape she released in 2021 from old and new music, Radiate me Scotty.

Alongside Kim Kardashian, Maye Musk and Ciara, Nu is also one of the cover models for this year’s issue.

She wrote “Yumi Nu’s Year of Visibility” for Sports Illustratedto talk about its history and accomplishments.

“Much of the fashion industry has become more inclusive of people with bodies like mine over the last few years, some people – for example, designers at certain high fashion houses and dumb, silly guys anger on the internet, among other things – just a safe haven “I haven’t quite understood yet that people who look like me belong to everyone else. But I tell them: we will wait. We are here and we will not leave,” she said.

TikTok users were quick to defend Nu in the comments section.

“YOU REINFORCE MY IDOL,” one user said.

“I’m so happy for you and you deserve this gorgeous cover,” one commenter exclaimed.

“Jordan Peterson single handedly quit Twitter. And he looked amazing doing it. Queeeen,” one said.

“Jealousy is a disease and I hope they get over it soon lol. You are beautiful mum,” another exclaimed.

One user commented, “Okay, if ‘men’ aren’t interested, women are.”

“If you drove Jordan Peterson crazy, you did something right,” said one commentator.

“He is objectively wrong… you are incredibly beautiful, that’s not a question,” another exclaimed.

“Besides, you don’t have to be beautiful for him or anyone else. Why does he think women Owe him beauty? That’s the most glaring thing here,” wrote another.

Newsweek has contacted Nu representatives for comment.
