The Limerick hurling captain joins the international singer in a verse of his favorite song

LIMERICK’s Louise Cantillon and her hurling hero fiancé Declan Hannon had a busy few days with birthdays, launches and even a song with an international popstar.

The couple attended Paolo Nutini’s Milk Market concert last weekend and were able to meet the Pencil Full of Lead singer after the show.

Louise said she had been a fan of the singer for a long time and it was great to see a performer of her caliber in Limerick.

“We had a triple threat of gigs in Limerick with Denise Chaila, The Coronas and Paolo Nutini and I was lucky enough to attend two of the gigs.

“We were very lucky to be able to meet him afterwards and talk to him. He even sang a few Caledonia lines with Declan, which was amazing!

“Credit must be given to the Dolan family for bringing this sort of act to Limerick.”

After mingling with the music star, Louise was among the most famous faces when she launched TG4 coverage of this year’s Eurovision Junior.

The Kilcornan native will be joined by her co-host Darragh Ó Caoimh for the show, which secured a prime slot on Sunday evening, a great opportunity for young people to make their voices heard, says Louise.

“It’s a great chance for young people to sing on a massive stage and for families to connect and enjoy the entertainment as a gaeilge.

“The act that wins the Irish competition will then represent Ireland in Armenia at Christmas, which millions watch.

“This year, the public will have the opportunity to vote who we send to the live final.”

Louise also teased a new travel show that will hit our TV screens soon.
