Baby Tate Shares Their ‘Extendo Verse’ From ‘Surround Sound’

Earlier this month, Dreamville pun wizard JID lit up the rap world with the release of his new single, “Surround Sound,” which will likely appear on his long-awaited second album. The story ever. And while JID did his usual thing on the new song, fans still paid a lot of attention to his guest rappers, 21 Savage and Baby Tate, albeit for different reasons.

While Savage’s verse was praised for its dexterity – especially compared to such an accomplished lyrical acrobat as JID, fans lamented that Tate’s verse was cut off when the song hit a beat switch midway through. -way, leaving them wondering if Tate would have impressed as much as his collaborators. To tell the truth, it was obvious that she would like but it was still disappointing that we couldn’t hear him do it…that is, until now.

Knowing that fans were hungry to hear her full verse, Tate celebrated “Surround Sound” reaching the Hot 100 by posting what she called the “HIGHLY REQUESTED BABY TATE EXTENDO VERSE” on Twitter via a video of herself – even twerking to the song in her bathroom. The full verse finds Tate dismissing an ex, going through three different streams and bragging about her own prowess and accomplishments. While it remains to be seen if the full verse will see an official release – fans are still waiting for his remix of Doja Cat’s “Get Into It (Yuh)” to become official – it’s still fun to see Tate show off his skills. underrated raps.
